India Mysore Coffee Beans New Season
Mysore coffee is a type of coffee that is grown in the Mysore region of Karnataka, a state in southern India. It is known for its unique flavour and aroma, which is the result of the region’s specific growing conditions, including the rich soil, high altitude, and tropical climate.
What Makes India Mysore Coffee Beans Unique
The Mysore coffee plantations were established in the early 19th century, during the British colonial era, and have since become an important part of the region’s economy. Today, Mysore coffee is one of the most popular and highly prized types of coffee in India.
One of the unique features of Mysore coffee is its certification as a Geographical Indication (GI) product by the government of India. This certification ensures that only coffee beans grown in the Mysore region can be marketed as “Mysore coffee,” and helps to protect the quality and authenticity of the product.
Roasting India Mysore Coffee Beans
India Mysore coffee beans are delicate to roast such as Monsooned beans, we typically medium to light roast them to bring out a well-balanced flavour profile, with notes of chocolate, nuts, and spice. They have a smooth and creamy texture, with a medium body and low acidity.
Mysore coffee is enjoyed both in India and around the world and is often brewed using traditional Indian methods, such as filtering the coffee through a cloth bag or using a “dabara set” (a type of Indian coffee filter). It can also be enjoyed as a cold brew or in specialty coffee drinks.
